Major car manufacturing plant (Normal, IL)
After a global carmaker announced plans to close its Normal facility, once described as one of the most technologically advanced automotive manufacturing plants in the world, GCT-Springfield’s James W. Chipman helped craft multi-year tax settlements for the company with local assessment officials and government taxing bodies, resulting in $500,000 in savings over a three-year period.

National restaurant chain (multiple locations)
Jim successfully won property tax reductions for numerous locations of this well known chain of restaurants and stores in many of the state’s central and southern counties, including Madison, St. Clair, Effingham, Logan, Jefferson, Coles and Williamson.

Regional multi-location bank (Bloomington, IL)
A locally owned community bank with over 50 branch offices and ATMs statewide, Jim was responsible for winning tax reductions in Bureau, LaSalle, Sangamon, Champaign, Tazewell, McLean, Kendall, Will and Woodford counties for the bank.

Illinois Police Benevolent & Protective Association (Springfield, IL)
Over a four-year period, Jim won local and state appeals for the association’s building headquarters.
